The I Can Read Foundation is a Brisbane-based literacy organisation serving Pasifika families across Australia, New Zealand, the US, and the Pacific Islands.
Our curriculum is designed by Ese Kava, a qualified phonics teacher, and built on the same principle throughout: teach the real mechanics of reading — hearing sounds, blending them, and building toward real words — rather than shortcuts that feel faster but cause difficulty later.
Everything we build is shaped by one question: what actually helps a Pasifika family's child become a confident, independent reader?
